Schedule
22 Oct: arrival late afternoon or evening ( no dinner provided)
23 to 25 Oct:
-practice from 8 AM to 5 PM,
-lecture or chado related activity,e.g, chashaku making, from 7 PM to 9 PM
25 Oct: end of seminar after dinner
** no breakfast provided on 26 Oct
General Information
1. Practice will comprise of basic 'temae'( procedures), 'konarai', 'kagetsu',and 'mizuya'(preparation),'haigata'(ash form) practice.
2. What to wear
For practice: western clothing or kimono with white socks or tabi.
3. Please bring:
For practice: fan, fukusa, kaishi, paper or cloth kochakin for koicha
-Toiletries
4. Accommodation
Each bedroom will be shared by two persons.
Bedrooms are provided with bathroom with shower, bedding and towels, telephone, desk, closet, small eletric kettle. No drinking allowed in bedrooms.
5. Fees and payment
accommodation : 35 pounds/night
meals: 25 pounds/3 meals per day
seminar participation: 60 pounds/day
